Self-publishing support for solo devs and small teams

Spend more time doing what you do best: making games. Self-publishing gives you complete creative and financial control of your game, but takes a lot of time and effort. Trubwick Games is your in-house publisher, giving you more time and headspace to make the best game you can.

Trubwick Games is an independent micropublisher committed to helping solo developers and small teams to self-publish their games and build sustainable careers as indie devs.

We only publish a handful of titles a year so we can give your game as much love and attention as it deserves. We love thoughful, beautiful and intelligent games, regardless of how big they are.

How we work

Wherever you are in your game development journey, we can help you with all aspects of publishing your game.

We work on commission only. We prefer you to put your time and money into making the best game possible. We only work on games we believe will succeed and because we are tiny and independent, our commission rates are really low.

Need development funding? Whilst we don't fund games directly, we can help you find funding whilst keeping control of your game. Get in touch to find out more.

Marketing, PR & BizDev

Letting players know about your game takes a lot of time and effort that could be better spent developing your game.

We will handle a strategic mix of press, social media, influencer and traditional advertising to get as many eyes on the game as possible.

We prefer to work smart and keep marketing budgets as low as possible, so that you get to keep more of your hard-earned sales.

Commercial & Legal

We partner with first and third parties to find opportunites to make your game a success.

We don't fund games ourselves so that we can offer low commission rates, but we can help you find development funding without giving up creative and commercial control. This can include grants, crowdfunding, subscription deals or even getting you ready for a traditional publishing agreement.

We will also do all the other publishing things - QA, localisation, legal, store fronts - everything to give your game the best chance for success.

It takes a lot of work to release a game. We will get the store pages set up across Steam, Epic, Xbox, PlaySation and Nintendo and support you through certification.

Launch day is not the end of the story - we will continue to tweak, test and promote your game to create a long-term sustainable income to keep you independent as you make your next game.

We also love working with developers who have already released their games to help it find longer term success.

Release & Beyond

...and so much more!

We will support you in creating a sustainble indie studio and have experience in merchandise, physical releases, monetising IP, soundtracks & art books.

Wherever you want to take your game and your studio, we are excited to take on the challenge with you.

About Us

We're a tiny, independent publisher based in Brighton, UK. We set up Trubwick to give solo devs and small teams access to high-quality publishing support without giving up control of their games, regardless of size. We want more innovative, more beautiful, and just more games!

Ben is an ex-CERN engineer and was the Operations Manager for indie publisher Secret Mode where he worked on smash indie tidy puzzler A Little to the Left (Max Inferno), BAFTA award-winning horror Still Wakes the Deep (The Chinese Room), cosy tidy 'em up Loddlenaut (Moon Lagoon), and more.

Ben works with a team of freelancers and his dog, Maggie, the English Setter/Pointer rescue from Greece who even stars in the credits of A Little to the Left!
